At nära we care about our products and we have a passion to create and provide beautiful products that also consider the world in which we live. Our luxurious scented candles and wax melts are made using soy wax ensuring a clean burn for both us and the environment. One of the primary benefits of soy candles is their renewable and sustainable nature. Soybeans are a crop that can be grown year after year, unlike petroleum, which is a finite resource. By choosing soy wax candles and melts, you are choosing eco-friendly products, actively reducing your carbon footprint and supporting a more sustainable future.

Our gift boxes are made from 100% recycled materials and the glass for our candles and reed diffusers is recyclable.

Postal orders are packaged in a recyclable cardboard box (or a recycled one for the very large orders) and we use gummed kraft paper tape ensuring it’s as eco friendly as possible. We don’t purchase any single use plastic for our packaging, however if necessary, we will reuse bubble wrap or inflatable air packaging that we have received ourselves in packages.

The packing peanuts we use to protect your products during shipping are plant based and 100% biodegradable. They are fully soluble when saturated with water and can even go in your compost bin! ⁣

We now also have our click+collect option for Cheshire customers to cut down on posting and packaging which in the future we are also hoping to turn into a glass return and reuse option.

reducing waste

We are extremely conscious to produce as little waste as possible during the candle making process by hand pouring in small batches and re-using excess wax for batch testing and quality control.

In addition to this, we also work closely with our suppliers and wherever possible, ensure they follow the same approach to sustainability as ourselves.
