CANDLE SAFETY

- Ensure that your candle is placed on a level, heat resistant surface away from draughts and flammable materials.

- Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

- Never leave a lit candle unattended.

- Do not move a burning candle or a recently extinguished candle with liquid wax as the container can get very hot.

- Never blow a candle out, always use a snuffer.

- Never use a candle as a night light and extinguish all candles when leaving a room or going to sleep.

TRIM YOUR WICK

- Trim the wick to 5mm prior to lighting and continue to do this on each burn, removing any soot, debris, wick trimmings or other foreign matter from the melt pool.

- Stop burning the candle if the flame becomes too high, flickers or smokes. This is due to the wick not being trimmed. Allow the candle to cool, trim and then relight.

BURN TIME

- On the first burn allow the candle to create an even melt pool to the edge of the container; this will prevent tunnelling from occurring and maximise the life and fragrance of your candle.

- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time as this can cause the container to get too hot and possibly smash or crack.

- Don’t burn candles all the way down to the bottom. Stop using the candle when 1cm of wax remains in the bottom. Burning to the bottom may cause the container to break.

- Burning for the correct time will make sure you get full enjoyment from your candle, with an even melt and an even stronger scent.
